Fireside Chat: Lean Six Sigma in Three Minutes (Well, Sort Of…)

2010 January 29
by Steven B. Levy

Here’s the final one-take video in the first series of Lexician fireside chats. It’s a super-mini introduction to two critical — and easy to implement — Lean Six Sigma concepts. No black belt, math, or fancy terminology is needed to make these ideas work.

I’m a big fan of many of the Lean Six Sigma concepts and think they apply quite well to the mechanics of the practice of law. However, I’m not a big fan of the obfuscatory terminology and we’re-smarter-than-you attitudes that too often accompany these concepts, and so I reserve the right to poke fun at them.
